Welcome to City & Guilds of London Art School!

We’re a small, not-for-profit higher education institution and with a proud reputation for offering an outstanding education in contemporary fine art, art and material histories and the historic craft skills of ornamental woodcarving, architectural stone carving and the conservation of cultural artefacts, books and paper-based objects. We also offer Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.

Our bright and spacious studios, workshops, labs and specialist facilities are housed in an elegant Georgian and Victorian building and an adjacent loft-style studio block, one minute’s walk from Kennington Underground Station (Northern Line) and one-stop from London Waterloo mainline station.

Our modern main entrance and glass atrium, designed by the award-winning Alan Higgs Architects, is situated on leafy Cleaver Square. From here you can access our large and airy Victorian and Georgian fine art studios, purpose-built wood and stone carving workshops and bespoke conservation laboratories. And in the centre of the complex is our courtyard garden, with outdoor seating, and our cafe where you can enjoy organic, locally-sourced, healthy meals, snacks and drinks.
