The Art School appoints a new Head of Foundation

City & Guilds of London Art School is delighted to announce the appointment of Clementine Mitchell as our new Head of Foundation, following Keith Price’s retirement from the role.

Clementine joins the Art School from Ravensbourne University London, where she has been Course Leader and contributed to curriculum development for many years. She is an external moderator for OCN London and has taught at Central Saint Martins and Somerset House. Alongside her role at the Art School, she volunteers at a primary school and leads community workshops to improve access to the arts for young people.

Her design and illustration practice encompasses identity, print, exhibitions, and digital media, with clients including Channel 4, The Langham London and Imperial College Business School. Before establishing her own practice, Clementine worked at creative agencies, with a focus on projects and clients that promote social innovation and community engagement, including The Young Foundation and the NHS. Clementine’s work has featured in Grafik magazine and received recognition from Awwwards, Memcom, and for its commitment to sustainability through the Nonino Risit d’Aur prize.

Commenting on her new role at the Art School, Clementine shared: “I am delighted to start my role as Head of Foundation at City & Guilds of London Art School. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a unique institution with a such a rich tradition in the arts. I look forward to working with the team and the students.”
