Luke M Walker is a London-based Artist whose work focusses on the local environment and documenting the changing city around him through painting, interventions and collaborative projects. This involves walking expeditions in the immediate locality but also taking him further afield on specific walks where he collects data and material from which he constructs his paintings.
Since graduating from City & Guilds of London Art School in 2014 with an MA in Fine Art, Luke has exhibited in numerous shows around the UK, including a solo show with Degree Contemporary in 2018 as well as two joint shows at Zasso Gallery in Taiwan. He won the Signature Art Prize for Painting in 2015 and has also curated several group shows; including The Mountain Arts Festival in Cumbria in 2016 & 2017, a Photography retrospective of the mountaineer Doug Scott CBE and two shows at the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) in London.
