Yes, we will be offering a number of 4 & 5 day-long summer courses in July 2024.
We have summer courses teaching a range of specialist art and craft skills including stone and wood carving, drawing and painting, gilding and clay modelling.
You can find the full details here.
Our summer courses are for adults aged 18 and over. There is no upper age limit.
No, all our courses are suitable for people with no experience in our specialisms. They are a great opportunity to try out something completely new to you. Some of our courses are also suitable for those of you with some experience already. There is something for everyone.
We aim to keep our classes small (like our Art School!). Class sizes vary, depending on the specialism.
All our courses are taught by tutors from our degree courses. As well as teaching, our tutors all have their own professional practice, and many are leaders in their fields.
No, these courses do not lead to a qualification but we can provide a certificate of attendance, if you have attended at least 80% of the course.
Please talk to your academic advisors to secure their approval before you book your course. We are happy to liaise with them to enable your home institution to award credit for your short course.
You may also be interested in our semester Study Abroad programme, which allows you to study for up to six months alongside our undergraduates.
We recommend you book your course as early as possible. Places are limited and our courses are very popular
